PREFACE
-------
A true and much more complete manual will be written
when SnoopFS nears completion.
SnoopFS does not show *every* file access. For advanced
users, to show most accesses, the Last Access date flag
needs to be enabled in Windows. The registry key is
specified below. A future version of SnoopFS will allow
you to automatically enable/disable this.
Set this to 0 to enable, or 1 to disable:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate
PURPOSE
-------
SnoopFS is an application that shows you which files and
directories are being accessed on which drive either by
the operating system or another application.
UPGRADING SNOOPFS
-----------------
To upgrade your current installation of SnoopFS to a newer version,
simply delete the SnoopFS directory and extract the new version's
archive to a location of your choice.
REMOVING SNOOPFS
----------------
To remove SnoopFS from your system, just quit the application and
delete the SnoopFS directory. SnoopFS does not store any data in
the Windows registry or anywhere else on your system.
In the future, a significant portion of applications written
for Windows will use the .NET runtimes, so it is a good idea
to download it now to save hassle later.
