We ask that you focus your testing on the SoftwarePassport interface, which we have completely redesigned for better usability. Also, to save you time we have provided a list of known issues below. You do not need to report these particular issues to us if you find them.
The "Languages" screen is not yet fully functional.
The "Duplicate" button for certificates does not copy all settings.
There are a few remaining issues with the formatting and content of the in-application help text.
New features:
· The 64-bit versions of SoftwarePassport and Armadillo can now use Secured Sections, which is a feature that restricts trial users from accessing certain portions of a program until they have paid for the "full" version. Secured Sections functionality for 64-bit is available to programs created with C or C++ compilers, and requires use of a new ArmAccess64.lib import library. For more information, see the note on this page.
· Our clients using an INI file in conjunction with Client/Server Network Licensing can now specify server name instead of TCP/IP address, for more flexibility. This change eliminates the need to update the INI file when IP addresses change. See the Server setting at The INI File.
Bug fixes and other changes:
· The Client/Server Network Licensing option was not working in version 6.62. We have corrected the issue for this release.
· We have fixed two bugs that were introduced in version 6.60:
· The "close:reissuekey" command would be executed twice when the HTML Customer Service Dialog was enabled, and the Expired Message was set to HTML. (The "close:reissuekey" command would have to be manually added to the HTML-formatted Expired Message, because it is not there by default.) This fix applies to Digital River "tagged" files only.
· GetLastError() always returned 0 when the InstallKey() API failed, instead of returning a value that provides more details about the error.
· The "close:buynow" command was not working. It would result in a browser error.
· We made some changes to prevent access violation errors that sometimes occurred for protected programs running on Windows XP when DEP was not enabled for the system.
