We have completely redesigned the SoftwarePassport interface for better usability. Some highlights of this update are as follows:
Most navigation takes place in the left sidebar, where there are three main areas for working with your protection projects: Project Settings, Certificates Settings and Build.
Rather than having separate Fast Protect and Advanced Protect Projects as in the previous version, there is now just one project type, which handles quick setup and detailed work equally well.
The new version is backwards compatible with your existing projects. Options have been relocated, but the naming and functionality remains the same as in previous versions.
The 64-bit versions of SoftwarePassport and Armadillo can now use Secured Sections, which is a feature that restricts trial users from accessing certain portions of a program until they have paid for the "full" version. Secured Sections functionality for 64-bit is available to programs created with C or C++ compilers, and requires use of a new ArmAccess64.lib import library.
Our clients using an INI file in conjunction with Client/Server Network Licensing can now specify server name instead of TCP/IP address, for more flexibility. This change eliminates the need to update the INI file when IP addresses change.
SoftwarePassport now includes the dynamic messaging feature, which previously was available only in the Armadillo Classic interface.
